As part of Persona 5’s Phantom Thieves, you take the evil from the hearts of adults. But with the Figma Joker action figure, it’s your heart that’ll feel a tug. Max Factory and the Good Smile Company bring us another well designed collectible action figure from a popular video game. And he looks great.

I haven’t played any games in the Persona series, or any in the broader Megami Tensei franchise, for that matter. Part of the reason being I’m admittedly not big (nor that great) at turn-based RPGs. However, when Persona 5 dropped earlier this year, I was sucked in by the visuals. It’s stylish as hell. And the concept sounded cool and I was intrigued enough to pick it up. And yes, I even grabbed the steelbook version.

Take a peek at the lead character below.

From the Good Smile website:

The main character from Persona 5 is joining the figma series!

From the popular RPG game “Persona 5” comes a figma of the main character in his Phantom Thief outfit!

  • The smooth yet posable figma joints allow you to act out a variety of different scenes.
  • A flexible plastic is used in specific areas, allowing proportions to be kept without compromising posability.
  • He comes with three face plates including an expressionless face, a smiling face and a suspicious grinning face.
  • Optional accessories include a gun, a knife and an alternate front hair part to pose him with his mask.
  • The Phantom Thieves’ feline partner, Morgana, is also included to display by his side.

Figma Joker is listed at ¥6,296, which translates to $56.24 on Google’s or $57.76 on Hobby Link Japan. Currently there’s a stop order on the figure and sales will re-open if more are made available. So if you’re a frequent HLJ shopper, keep an eye out on their site.

So what do you think of this stylish Phantom Thief? Does he have a place in your collection? I can definitely see him being a highly sought after collectible, especially considering the success of the game. Also, if you’ve played Persona 5, let me know what you thought of it.
